Air Sealing is Cost Effective

One of the most cost effective things you can do to your home is air sealing. Your home likely has hidden air leaks that are robbing you of heating and cooling dollars all season long. Air sealing helps to hold conditioned air in and unconditioned air out of the building envelope. Our remedy to a leaky home is air sealing: finding and filling cracks, gaps and wholes that are hidden in attics, crawls spaces and basements. Have us air seal your home so you can see big savings on your energy bills.

Case in Point

Sealed shut, this gap between the foundation and sill plate lead to a leaky, unsafe and uncomfortable home.
Sealed shut, this gap between the foundation and sill plate lead to a leaky, unsafe and uncomfortable home.
This is just one example of a hidden air leak. The photo to the right shows where the foundation wall meets the "sill plate." The gap between the sill plate and the foundation was big enough to see day light on the other side before we sealed it. This gap extended almost the entire perimeter of the home. This large gap allowed air to pass into the crawl space and into the home through air leaks in the floor. As warm air leaked out of the attic, cool air was sucked in through the crack around the sill plate. This is an example of the "Stack Effect."
